Breakfast Cake with Bisquick


Gooey Apple (or peach) Breakfast Cake

  • Melt:
  • ¾ c vegan margarine
  • ¾ c b sugar
  • 2 t cinn.
  • Add:
  • 6-8 Sliced apples or peaches
  • Simmer 5 minutes
  • Put into 8x8 pan and top with:
  • Mixed:
  • 2 C bisquick
  • 1 c soymilk
  • 2 T cornstarch
  • 2 T ground flax seed
  • 2 T oil
  • sprinkle with sugar cinn.
  • Bake 375 until golden about 30 min.
  • Flip upside down on serving plate.

If using canned or thawed frozen fruit, don't simmer, just mix in.

Tips and ideas:

If you dont have bisquick, use this:

  • 2 cups flour.
  • 1 T baking powder.
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon salt.
  • 2 tablespoon shortening (Crisco), coconut oil, or high fat vegan butter/margarine.

Add craisins to apples for holidays

Berries are great too!
