Cholesterol Free Vegan Recipe

Poppy seed filling

Blender together:

¾ C poppy seeds

¾ C ground almonds

Add:

½ C sugar

1/3 C plain soymilk

Place in saucepan with:

3 T vegan margarine

1 t lemon peel

1 T lemon juice

Boil until thick, 10 minutes.

Apricot filling
 
Cook until softened:
½ # dried apricots
2 C water
½ C water
½ C sugar
Remove add
1/2 C C ground almonds
2 T rum
Blender smooth

Date Filling:
Simmmer:
½ # dates
in 1 C water
When all water evaporated add:
½ C vegan margarine
2 T lemon juice
1 t cinnamon
1 t vanilla
Cook a couple minutes until thick.
Blender smooth

Homemade Almond Paste
1 ½ C whole blanched almonds
1 ½ C powdered sugar
1 t almond extract
1/4 t salt
2 t oil
processs smooth
