Fruit leather
or fruit roll ups
- Process smooth:
- 2 C berries, or other fruit.
- 1 T lemon juice,
- 1 T sugar. (optional)
- Pour onto well greased 11x17 cookie sheet sheet spreading to 1 inch of edges.
- Leave oven door slightly ajar.
- Bake 140 about 6 hours.
- Sprinkle plate with 1 teaspoon cornstarch and place leather atop. Cool 30 minutes.
- Sprinkle with 1 teaspoon cornstarch and roll up or cut into shapes
- Store air tight.
- They last easily a month, or even longer in the freezer.
Tips:
- Use other fruits, peaches, bananas, apples, pears, grapes, sweet potatoes...
- Add a little spice, pepper, cinnamon, mint...
- Add applesauce to extend your fruits
- If too thin, try adding some chia seeds.
