Easy homemade orange or grapefruit marmalade jam preserves

Orange or grapefruit Marmalade

  • Remove peel and pith from 2 large red grapefruits, or 4 oranges
  • Thinly slice 1/2 the peel
  • Slice fruit thin and place in saucepan with the sliced peel
  • Add 4 C water
  • Bring to a boil then lower heat and simmer 1-1/2 Hour til syrupy
  • Cool add 1/4 C lemon or orange or grapefruit juice
  • 1 t vanilla
  • Pour into Jar cover and chill.
  • Lasts 2 months.--
