VEGAN Traditional Chow Mein


Traditional Chow Mein, with vegan burger, over chow mein noodles

Traditional Chow Mein

  • Saute:
  • 2 T oil
  • 6 Stalks sliced celery
  • 2 sliced onion
  • 1 chopped carrot (optional)
  • 1 chopped bell pepper (optional)
  • Add:
  • 1/2 pound or so vegan burger crumbles.
  • 2 T soy sauce
  • 1 c water
  • s & p
  • Small thumnb nail size, grated fresh ginger, or 1/2 t powder
  • When cooked through add:
  • 2 T cornstarch in
  • ΒΌ c water
  • Add:
  • small sliced can water chestnuts
  • large can bean sprouts
  • small can mushrooms.

Serve over crunchy chow mein noodles. or white rice.
