Homemade SAGE HERB BREAD


SAGE HERB BREAD

  • HEAT
  • 1 c plain unflavored soymilk (only soybeans and water on label)
  • with 2 t vinegar
  • 2 t sage
  • 1 t thyme
  • cool
  • Add:
  • ½ c softened vegan margarine
  • 3 T oil
  • 1/4 - ½ c sugar
  • 2 T ground flax
  • 2 c flour
  • 2 t baking powder
  • 2 T cornstarch
  • 1 t salt
  • 3 c flour plus more for stiff dough
  • Form into loaf
  • Place on greased sheet or loaf pan
  • (Does not raise much)
  • Bake 350 40 - 45 minutes

  • Great with soups
  • or under gravy as in biscuits and gravy!
  • Use any herbs you want here, that go with what you are serving.
