Mandarin Orange Salads


Tratitional Mandarin Orange Salads consist of

  • Mixed Lettuce
  • Chopped Celery
  • Chopped sweet onions
  • Small can, Mandarin oranges, drained
  • Vegan Chicken chunks, or fried tofu.
  • Drizzle with dressing
  • And sprinkle with candied almonds
  • Sugared Almonds
  • 2 T sugar
  • ¼ C sliced almonds
  • Heat fry pan, add sugar and almonds. Stirring constantly until sugar melts and almonds are coated. Remove from pan, cool.

Here are a few dressing recipes to try, for what you have on hand or preferred taste.


Traditional Mandarin salad dresing

  • Dressing:
  • Heat:
  • 1/4 C oil
  • 2 T sugar
  • 2 T red wine vinegar
  • 1 T parsley
  • ½ t salt and pepper
  • Cool Add:
  • ½ t almond extract

Easy Mandarine salad Dressing

  • 1 C Orange juice
  • 1 T soy sauce
  • 1 T agave





Mandarine salad dressing with sesame

  • HEAT to disolve sugar:
  • ½ C corn syrup
  • 3 T vinegar
  • 2 T pineapple juice
  • 1 T sugar
  • 1 T brown sugar
  • 1 T rice vinegar
  • 1 T soy sauce
  • 1 t sesame oil
  • ¼ t dry mustard
  • ¼ t ginger powder
  • s n p
  • paprika
  • Remove add:
  • ½ c oil
  • Sprinkle with 1 t sesame seeds
  • Cool before using
