Vegan Bean Burger Recipes

Basic Easy Bean Burger

  • 1 Can Refried Beans
  • 1 C leftover brown rice
  • Mix and form into patties, fry

Black Bean Burgers

  • 3 C black beans
  • 2 T flax seeds, ground
  • 2 T sesame seeds, ground
  • 1/4 C walnuts, ground
  • 1/2 c finely grated carrot
  • 1 T soy sauce
  • 1 T H2O
  • 1/4 T salt
  • 1 t basil
  • 1 t onion powder
  • 1/2 t pepper
  • 1/2 t cayenne
  • 1 t oregano
  • Instructions
  • Mash all together
  • Form into Patties and fry

Bean and lentil Burger

  • Saute
  • 1 T oil
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • add to
  • 1 t basil
  • 1 t salt and 1/2 t pepper
  • 1 Can red beans
  • 1 can white beans
  • 1 c cooked lentils
  • 1 c cooked brown rice
  • 1 T soy sauce
  • 2 T flour
  • Mash together well, or process chunky / smooth
  • Form into patties
  • Press one side in sesame seeds
  • Fry plain side first until brown/flip fry

Black Bean Burgers with Oats

  • 1 16 oz Can black beans
  • 1/2 c uncooked regular oats
  • 1/2 small finely diced onion
  • 1 jalapeno pepper (optional) seeded and finely diced
  • 1 T oil
  • 2T nutritional yeast
  • 1/2 t salt
  • Dredge mix:
  • 2 T flour
  • 2 T cornmeal
  • Instructions
  • Mash beans and add remaining burger ingredients
  • Form into 4 patties
  • Dredge in flour/cornstarch
  • Fry in hot oil about 5 minutes each side
  • Serve on buns
