Open Face Sauteed Vegiwich with tofu
- 8 1/2 ' slices french bread
- 16 oz extra firm tofu cut into 1/2 " slices (optional)
- vegi cheese (optional)
- 1 onion sliced in thin rings
- 1 c mushrooms sliced
- 1/2 C carrot grated
- 1/2 c celery chopped fine
- Mix together:
- 2 T water
- 1 T vegan Worcestershire
- 1/2 t cornstarch
- Saute vegis in a little oil until done
- Add water/cornstarch mixture.
- Cook 1 minute
- Dry fry or broil tofu about 3 minutes a side.
- Place on top of bread.
- top with vegan cheese and broil until cheese is slightly melted
- Top with vegis and serve
Marinated Vegis on roll
- Saute vegis of choice a couple minutes:
- in small amount of canola oil:
- Sliced zucchini
- onion
- bell peppers
- Carrots
- Mushrooms
- Remove
- Drizzle with favorite vinegrette
- Sit overnight in fridge
- Serve on firm roll or bread, cold or warmed
Try just Grilled vegis on buns
Drizzle with balsamic vinegar
