Homemade BBQ sauce

Cholesterol Free Vegan Recipe

Take ANY ready made VEGAN BBQ sauce:

Add lemon, or vegan worcestershire sauce, liquid smoke, jam, bourbon, pineapple juice, crushed red pepper... almost any ingredient listed below, and make it better!

 

Try a spicy Dry rub

Mix and coat tofu.

¾ C chili powder

¼ C brown sugar

opt. 2 t cayenne pepper

Let sit for 30 minutes or overnight.

Cover with BBQ sauce and bake 30-45 minutes

Easy BBQ
1 C bottled hickory bbq sauce
¾ c ketchup
1/3 C orange juice
1 T soy sauce
1 t hot sauce

Great Homemade Barbeque Sauce
 
2 cups water
3/4 cup corn syrup
1/2 cup tomato paste
1/4 cup ketchup
1/2 cup vinegar
3 T molasses
3 T brown sugar
1/2 t salt
1/2 t onion powder
1/4 t pepper
1/4 t paprika
1/2 t garlic powder
2 T oil (optional)
1 lemon sliced thin
 
Mix all in sauce pan.
Bring to a boil.
Lower heat.
Simmer 60 minutes or longer.
Remove and add
1 teaspoon liquid smoke.
 
 BBQ 2
¼ c oil
¼ c onion powder
¼ c minced garlic
1 c vinegar
½ c br sugar
bay leaf
Worcestershire
1 # tom paste
2 # Tom sauce
1 c lemon juice
3+ c water
1 T pepper
1T cayanne
¼ c chili powder
½ c molasses
½ c mustard
1 t celery seed

Mix all in sauce pan.
Bring to a boil.
Lower heat.
Simmer 60 minutes or longer.
Remove and add
1 teaspoon liquid smoke.
 
Smokey bbq sauce 3
 
1/2 C ketchup
1/4 C oil
3 T lemon juice
1 t salt
1 t dry mustard
1 T soy sauce
2 T vinegar
1 T liquid smoke
1 t garlic
1 t worcestershire
1/4 t celery salt
dash tabasco (optional)

BBQ 4
1 1/2 C water
1 C vinegar
1/2 C tomato paste
1 T mustard
2/3 C Brown sugar
1 t liquid smoke
1 1/2 t salt
1/2 t onion powder
1/2 t garlic powder
1/4 t paprika
Boil simmer 45-60 minutes

BBQ 5
2 T brown sugar
1 T paprika
1 t salt
1 t celery seed
1/4 t chili powder
dash ground cloves
dash cayanne
2 T vegan worcestershire
1/4 C vinegar
1 C tomato juice
1/4 C ketchup
1/2 C water
1 t liquid smoke
Boil / simmer 15 minutes

BBQ 6
Saute'
1/3 C oil
1 chopped onion
Add:
1/4 C water
1/4 C lemon juice
2 T molasses
1/2 t dry mustard
1 T soy sauce

BBQ sauce 7:
 
1 ½ C ketchup
¼ C molasses
2 T Worcestershire
1 T hot sauce
½ t salt
½ t pepper
Liquid smoke
½ c oil
 
Onion powder
Garlic powder
Mustard

BBQ 8
 
14 oz ketchup
1/4 C soy sauce
3/4 C vegan worcestershire
2 t t garlic powder
1/2 C brown sugar
1/4 C oil
1/4 C rice vinegar

Korean BBQ
 
½ C pineapple juice
¼ C soy sauce
¼ C green onions
4 t sesame seeds
1 T b sugar
1 garlic
1/8 t pepper

Korean BBQ sauce
 
1 ¼ C sugar
1 C soy sauce
½ C b sugar
¼ C sesame oil
¼ C chili sauce
4 green onions
6 garlic
1 T ginger root
1 C water
Boil then thicken w/
1 T water w/
1 T cornstarch


Tips
Simmer any sauce 30-60 minutes or more to blend flavors
Options:

Add chili peppers to make it hot.
Add pineapple to make it Hawaiian.

Use beer in place of water, or part whiskey for more intense flavor..
Better Barbeque sauce then any store bought!
