Vegan BBQ sauce Recipes



Store bought BBQ sauce

    • Take ANY ready made VEGAN BBQ sauce:
    • Add lemon,
    • or vegan Worcestershire sauce,
    • liquid smoke,
    • jam
    • bourbon,
    • pineapple juice,
    • crushed red pepper...
    • almost any ingredient listed below, and make it better!
    • EXAMPLE: Easy Better BBQ sauce from a bottle
    • Mix together and heat
    • 1 C bottled hickory bbq sauce
    • ¾ c ketchup
    • 1/3 C orange juice
    • 1 T soy sauce
    • 1 t hot sauce

    Pams favorite homemade Barbeque Sauce

    • Mix all in sauce pan.
    • 2 cups water
    • 3/4 cup corn syrup
    • 1/2 cup tomato paste
    • 1/4 cup ketchup
    • 1/2 cup vinegar
    • 3 T molasses
    • 3 T brown sugar
    • 1/2 t salt
    • 1/2 t onion powder
    • 1/4 t pepper
    • 1/4 t paprika
    • 1/2 t garlic powder
    • 2 T oil (optional)
    • 1 lemon sliced thin
    • Bring to a boil.
    • Lower heat.
    • Simmer 60 minutes or longer.
    • Remove and add
    • 1 teaspoon liquid smoke.

    Smokey bbq sauce

    • Mix and heat
    • 1/2 C ketchup
    • 1/4 C oil
    • 3 T lemon juice
    • 1 t salt
    • 1 t dry mustard
    • 1 T soy sauce
    • 2 T vinegar
    • 1 T liquid smoke
    • 1 t garlic
    • 1 t worcestershire
    • 1/4 t celery salt
    • dash tabasco (optional)

    Tomatoey BBQ sauce

    • 2 T brown sugar
    • 1 T paprika
    • 1 t salt
    • 1 t celery seed
    • 1/4 t chili powder
    • dash ground cloves
    • dash cayanne
    • 2 T vegan worcestershire
    • 1/4 C vinegar
    • 1 C tomato juice
    • 1/4 C ketchup
    • 1/2 C water
    • 1 t liquid smoke
    • Boil / simmer 15 minutes

    Tomatoey BBQ sauce 2

    • ¼ c oil
    • ¼ c onion powder
    • ¼ c minced garlic
    • 1 c vinegar
    • ½ c br sugar
    • bay leaf
    • Worcestershire
    • 1 # tom paste
    • 2 # Tom sauce
    • 1 c lemon juice
    • 3+ c water
    • 1 T pepper
    • 1T cayanne
    • ¼ c chili powder
    • ½ c molasses
    • ½ c mustard
    • 1 t celery seed
      • Mix all in sauce pan.
      • Bring to a boil.
      • Lower heat.
      • Simmer 60 minutes or longer.
      • Remove and add

      BBQ sauce with molasses:

      • 1 ½ C ketchup
      • ¼ C molasses
      • 2 T Worcestershire
      • 1 T hot sauce
      • ½ t salt
      • ½ t pepper
      • Liquid smoke
      • ½ c oil
      • Onion powder
      • Garlic powder
      • Mustard

      Light and easy BBQ sauce

      • 1 1/2 C water
      • 1 C vinegar
      • 1/2 C tomato paste
      • 1 T mustard
      • 2/3 C Brown sugar
      • 1 t liquid smoke
      • 1 1/2 t salt
      • 1/2 t onion powder
      • 1/2 t garlic powder
      • 1/4 t paprika
      • Boil simmer 45-60 minutes

      Tangy easy BBQ

      • 14 oz ketchup
      • 1/4 C soy sauce
      • 3/4 C vegan worcestershire
      • 2 t t garlic powder
      • 1/2 C brown sugar
      • 1/4 C oil
      • 1/4 C rice vinegar

      Easy BBQ sauce starter

      • 1/2 c ketchup
      • 1/4 c br sugar
      • 2 T worcestershire
      • 3 T cider vinegar
      • 1 cl garlic

      Easy molasses BBQ

      • 1/2 c ketchup
      • 1/4 c molasses
      • 2 T worcestershire
      • 2 T dijon
      • 2 T cider vinegar
      • 1 T br sugar
      • Boil 10 min

      • Easy Maple BBQ sauce
      • 1 c ketchup
      • 1 T minced onion
      • 2 T worcestershire
      • 3 t molasses
      • 2 T maple syrup
      • 3 T cider vinegar
      • 1 t chili powder
      • 1/4 t cayenne
      • Boil 10-15

Spicy Bbq

  • 1 c br sugar
  • 1 c ketchup
  • 1/2 c cider vinegar
  • 1/2 c tom sauce
  • 1/2 c molasses
  • 1/4 c tom paste
  • 1 T sriracha or hot sauce
  • 2 T liquid smoke
  • 1 T onion powder
  • 1 T worcestershire
  • 2 t dijan
  • 1 t chili powder
  • Boil 15 min


Lemony Onion BBQ Sauce

  • Saute'
  • 1/3 C oil
  • 1 chopped onion
  • Add:
  • 1/4 C water
  • 1/4 C lemon juice
  • 2 T molasses
  • 1/2 t dry mustard
  • 1 T soy sauce

  • Sweet and spicey sauce
  • 3 C ketchup
  • 1 C cider vinegar
  • 1 C worcestershire
  • 1 c br sugar
  • 1 T dijon mustard
  • Boil 15 min.

  • Sweet Bourbon sauce
  • 1/4 c cornstarch
  • 1/8 t cayenne
  • 1/8 t salt
  • 1/8 t pepper
  • 3/4 c bourbon
  • 2 T soysauce
  • 2 T worcestershire
  • 2 T maple syrup
  • 1/3 c sesame oil
  • 3 T balsamic vinegar
  • 1 t dijan
  • 1 T minced onion
  • 1 t sriracha or hot sauce
  • 1 c br sugar
  • Boil 15 min.

  • Bourbon 2
  • 1 c ketchup
  • 1/2 c bourbon
  • 3 T br sugar
  • 2 T molasses
  • 3 T cider vinegar
  • 2 T worcestershire
  • 1 T soysauce
  • 1 T dijan
  • 2 liquid smoke
  • 1t onion powder
  • 1 t garlic powder
  • 1/2 t cr red pepper
  • Pepper
  • Boil 15 min.

  • Korean spicy
  • 1 c br sugar
  • 1 c soysauce
  • 1/4 c sesame oil
  • 2-4 T sriracha
  • 4 scallions
  • 6 cl garlic
  • 1 T ginger root
  • 1 c water
  • 1 T cornstarch in 1 T water
  • Boil 10 min

  • Smokey
  • 32 oz tom.sauce
  • 2 c ch onions
  • 3/4 c cider vinegar
  • 1/2 c br sugar
  • 2 T chili powder
  • 8 cl garlic
  • 1 T liquid smoke
  • 1 t cr red pepper
  • 1/2 t cumin
  • Boil 15 min

Easy Korean BBQ with pineapple

  • ½ C pineapple juice
  • ¼ C soy sauce
  • ¼ C green onions
  • 4 t sesame seeds
  • 1 T b sugar
  • 1 garlic
  • 1/8 t pepper

  • Asian BBQ
  • 2 T ginger root
  • 1/2 c scallions
  • 4 cl garlic
  • 1/2 t pepper
  • 1/4 c soysauce
  • 2 T plum sauce
  • 2 T miso
  • 1/4 c ketchup
  • 1/4 c sake/wine
  • 1/4 c br sugar
  • Marinade overnight then boil 10 min

Spicy Korean BBQ sauce

  • 1 ¼ C sugar
  • 1 C soy sauce
  • ½ C b sugar
  • ¼ C sesame oil
  • ¼ C chili sauce
  • 4 green onions
  • 6 garlic
  • 1 T ginger root
  • 1 C water
  • Boil then thicken w/
  • 1 T water w/
  • 1 T cornstarch

  • Beer sauce
  • Add to 1 c bbq sauce
  • 2 T butter
  • 2 T flour
  • 12 oz beer
  • 1/3 c ketchup
  • Heat til thick

Tips and ideas:

  • Simmer any sauce 30-60 minutes or more to blend flavors
  • Add chili peppers to make it hot.
  • Add pineapple to make it Hawaiian.
  • Use beer in place of water, or part whiskey for more intense flavor..
