Cholesterol Free Vegan Recipe

Favorite 5 grain plus bread
2 Yeast
¾ C water
¼ C sugar
2 2/3 C warm water
1 ½ T salt
3 T shortening
1 C soymilk (plain, only soybeans and water on label)
½ C ground oats
¼ C cornmeal
2 C WW flour
¼ C ground flax
¼ C bran
½ C ground walnuts
about 8 C flour
 Proof yeast
Add rest of ingredients,
Slowly adding flour…
Knead about 10 minutes
Cover Rise until doubled.
Punch rise again.
Punch divide in 2-3 loaves
Place in greased pans.
Rise.
Bake 400 30-35 minutes
 

Multigrain Bread
Proof 2 pkg. yeast in
¾ c water
1 t sugar
 
melt:
½ c brown sugar
¼ c vegan shortening

Add
1 T salt
2 c water
3 ½ c flour
Mix well add yeast mixture
and:
1 ½ c flour
1 C whole wheat flour
2 c variety of grains such as:
Ground oats, bran, cornmeal, seeds
ground flax, ground nuts...
OR: USE 
LEFTOVER HOT CEREAL
 
Knead, adding more flour until smooth and elastic not sticky.
Rise until doubled
Punch down rise again.
Punch and divide, rest 5 minutes.
shape into loaves
Rise
Bake 375 45 min for standard loaves,
less for smaller loaves.

Tips
Freezes well.

Rub tops immediately with vegan margarine for a nice shine.
