Home made English Muffins NO KNEAD

  • Mix:
  • 3 c flour
  • 2 t salt
  • 2 T sugar
  • 1 t yeast
  • Add:
  • 3 1/2 C warm water 110 degrees
  • Stir until smooth
  • Cover let rise at room temp. 1 1/2 hours
  • Heat flat non stick/cast iron griddle
  • Lightly oil
  • Stir batter then Ladle 1/2 C on griddle.
  • Spread to 6 inches
  • Cook until bubbles across top, and all but 2 inches of dough is firm
  • lower heat until top is all firm.
  • No need to turn over, unless you want a little darker

    ENGLISH MUFFINS Traditional (8)

  • Dissolve 1 yeast in
  • ½ c water and
  • 2 t sugar
  • Add:
  • 2 t salt
  • 1 c warm plain soy milk (only soybeans and water on label) or water
  • ¼ c soft vegan margarine
  • 3-4 c flour +
  • knead rise
  • Divide into 8 + -
  • On lightly floured surface, add 2 T cornmeal.
  • Press or roll balls 1/2 " flat.
  • Cover rise.
  • COOK ON SKILLET Med-high 5-7 min
  • flip 5-7 min more
