Pita Bread

  • Dissolve 2 yeast in :
  • 1 c warm water and
  • Pinch sugar
  • When bubbly add:
  • 2 t salt
  • 1/2 c oil
  • 1 1/2 c water
  • 7-8 c flour + -
  • Mix knead rise punch rise.
  • Divide into 8 or?
  • Roll out flat.
  • Rise a few min.
  • Bake in preheated 500 degree oven
  • on the bottom shelf for 5 min.
  • Move to middle shelf for 5 more, at 425 degrees.
  • Remove and place in covered dish, or foil for 10 min
  • Bag when cool.
