Riggs glacier is up to the right. Muir glacier forks to the left. Unfortunately, we did not have time to go all the way to the end where Muir glacier is actually not a tide water glacier anymore, and is considered terrestrial since around 1993.
1860 Muir glacier flowed all the way to the head of the east arm! Basically where we started the trip, at Sebree island.
Around 1750-1780 glacier filled all of Glacier Bay proper, and out into Icy Strait. Now you must go 65, up bay, miles to see a glacier!
