Home made VEGAN Tofu CHICKEN

CHICKEN Tofu

  • 2 # Extra Firm Tofu: Drained and pressed.
  • Slice into cubes or steaks.
  • Marinate several hours.
  • Marinade:
    • 1 1/2 C water
    • 1/4 C soy sauce
    • 1/4 C nutritional yeast
    • 1 T sage
    • 1 t rosemary
    • 1 t thyme
    • 1 t onion powder
    • 1/2 t marjoram
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1/2 t pepper
    • Remove from marinade
    • (Optional. Before baking, roll in nutritional yeast and some seasoned salt made with the herbs listed in marinade, or poultry seasoning)

    • Bake 350 degrees
    • 45 minutes.
    • Flip over and bake 15 minutes more.
    • Serve right away, or great chilled.

    Tips and Ideas

    • For Best texture, Freeze tofu first. Then thaw, squeeze gently.
    • Great in just about any recipe calling for chicken or tofu as the meat.
    • Fabulous when coated and fried!
