Sticky BBQ tofu with dry rub
Dryrub:
- combine
- 2 T brown sugar
- 1 1/2 t salt
- 2 T paprika
- 1 1/2 t chili powder (chipotle if possible)
- 1 1/2 t cumin
- 1 t allspice
- 1/2 t pepper
- Cube or steak 2 # extra firm pressed tofu
- Coat with dry rub
- Sit 30 minutes or several hours
- Bake 350 30 minutes
Use your own bbq sauce or a bottle or
- Saute'
- 1 chopped onion
- 6 cloves garlic
- 1 1/2 T fresh ginger, chopped
- 2 T oil
- Add:
- 1 1/2 C ketchup
- 6 T soy sauce
- 1/2 C water
- 1/4 C brown sugar
- 1/4 t pepper
- Cook 15 minutes. Puree smooth
- Top with sauce Bake 30 minutes longer
- Serve with extra sauce

Asian sesame tofu
- Mix well
- 1 cl garlic mashed
- 2 T soy sauce
- 2 T vegan hoisin sauce
- 2 T agave
- 1 t sesame oil
- dash cayanne pepper
- Cube pressed tofu and coat with sauce.
- Merinate 30 minutes or longer.
- Bake in 350 degree oven about 1/2 hour
- Remove and sprinkle with 1 1/2 T toasted sesame seeds
- Optional: add crushed red pepper for heat!

Tips and Ideas
You can skip dry rubs. They arent needed with a good bbq sauce, but they add a lot of flavor
