Some of the fastest receding glaciers documented are in Glacier Bay Alaska. I was able to visit some of the same glaciers, first in the 1990s, and most recently 2022. Here are a few images to compare the differences, and see the land from glacier and bare ground to the plant succession as vegetation takes over. Muir Inlet, Muir Glacier, McBride Glacier, Riggs Glacier, Stunning difference.
